Eddy's Birthday (March 3)

On my birthday I went to doggie day care and played with my friends. When I got home, my mom gave me a special dinner. Here is a picture of me licking the spoon...
After dinner, my parents said it was too cold for a walk (19 degrees), so my dad took me for a ride to Grandma and Grandpa's house. When we got home, I curled up on the couch next to my mom and she scratched me until it was bedtime. It was a great day!
Note from Mom: We don't know the exact date of Eddy's birthday. We celebrate his birthday on March 3rd, which is the day we adopted him. At that time, it was estimated that he was about a year old.

My Frosty February

Is winter over yet? I was really happy to go on a couple of walks on the few warm February days, and I met some new dogs in the neighborhood. I've been chasing the birds at the bird feeder and the rabbits out of my yard. My parents have been leaving me out of my crate during the days that I don't go to doggie daycare. I've been really good, so I can't wait to see what I get on my birthday March 3rd. My parents can't believe it's been 2 years since they brought me home from my foster home!

Here I am with a new toy (I ripped all the stuffing out of it right after this picture was taken)...

I had fun playing in the deep snow with my neighbor, Giggles...

I took a lot of naps...

I helped shred some paper during a birthday party...
I'm looking forward to a warmer March with longer, more frequent walks!

Snow and Cold

There's a lot of snow here in Cleveland and it's cold. There were a couple of days that it was so cold (-4 degrees) that my feet hurt when I went outside. My mom tried putting some doggie boots on me, but I hated them and tried to rip them off. Here are some pictures of me from the past couple of weekends...

Nap time!

Merry Christmas

My family put up a tree in our house. I left the tree alone, but I really wanted to lay on the cool blanket that my mom put under the tree. Here is a picture of me sleeping under the tree:

My mom told me that on Christmas Eve there would be lots of people at our house and that I needed to behave. No stealing napkins off of people's laps or grabbing food off the table. (For the record, I've never stolen any food from the table or counter.) I promised to be good. My aunt brought me a gift and let me open it first thing:

It was a big stuffed ball with a squeaker inside. I played with my new toy all night, and before the party ended, I got a little crazy with it:

Oh well! Everyone enjoyed watching me pull the stuffing out of my new toy.

My mom said I was very good that evening. I helped people unwrap their gifts and I also helped shred the wrapping paper.

On Christmas Day, I got more toys! Here is a picture of me with my big rawhide bone.

I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas!

Eddy's Letter to Santa

Dear Santa,

I have been very good this year, and here is my Christmas list:

A new Kong filled with peanut butter and treats.
A new Kong Wubba with a loud squeaker.
A new stuffed toy with a loud squeaker.
A big rawhide that I can chew on for hours.
A nice, long belly rub while lying on the couch or the bed.
A long walk every day, even if it's raining or really cold.
A dog that can live with me and play with me every day.
And please help all lost and rescued doggies find a great home like mine.

I promise not to bark at you when you come down the chimney.

Love,
Eddy

A Fun Thanksgiving Weekend

My mom took me to Petco on Wednesday. I love that place because there are some great smells there. Unfortunately, we weren’t there to shop. My mom left me there with some ladies who gave me a bath, brushed me, sprayed me, and other things I won’t mention. I was SO happy when my mom picked me up! The ladies told my mom that I was really good. Now everyone says I’m so soft and smell good.

A bunch of people came to my house on Thanksgiving. I got in trouble during dinner because I stole the napkins off of people’s laps and shredded them. To distract me, my mom made me a BIG Kong filled with lots of peanut butter and treats. I think I’ll try stealing napkins more often!

My friend Giggles stopped over on Saturday to play. Here are some pictures:

Today dad took the bird out of the cage and I was able to grab its tail. Here are some pictures of me and that darn bird:
